Description

Created in the great folk art tradition, the Two Owls Sculpture is fashioned from scrap pieces of metal and hardware, and cast-off pieces of wood into a whimsical sculpture. The placement of the washers for eyes, the curvature of the wire that forms their beaks, and the pertness of the placement of the ears brings an authentic feel to the animals thought of as very wise. The Phillips Collection commitment to rescuing materials by recycling them shines through in this work of art.
